Design world has been busy. There is so much work and very little time to do it! I tried to sleep just 5 hours a day - no luck - collapsed and slept for a weekend after only one 5 days of that regime.
It was very exciting to visit Architectural Digest Show at Pier 94. Gold is definitely making a comeback - but don't get too excited - it is a very hard polish to achieve and so it may just stay in a luxury price range. However, there are few items I found on the market already that could fit moderate budget.
It seemed that the show used to be bigger. Large portion of it was occupied by kitchen appliances & hardware. But there were some very interesting splashes of genius and luxury.
Always fun to visit is the Art of Table that accompanies every Architectural Digest Show in NYC. There was even a table that resonated with the weather outside - stormy snowy cold New York was not giving into spring.
But Gold is definitely back.
